Bass Strait is the stretch of water which separates our beautiful island of Tasmania from the rest of Australia. This affords the traveller several ways to arrive at your destination here in Tasmania's North West.
Two superfast ships, Spirit of Tasmania I and II offer an overnight service in both directions between Melbourne and Devonport seven days a week, year round, with additional services in peak periods. This allows you to also bring your vehicle with you.
For those choosing to travel by air, Qantaslink, Virgin Blue, Jetstar, Tiger Airways and Regional Express operate frequent services to Tasmania, with the option of Devonport or Burnie Airports getting you directly to the North West Coast of Tasmania or Launceston Airport only an hour's drive away.
